Understanding your consultation

Every order through PharmacyOnline starts with an online consultation. Here's what to expect.

What is the consultation?

A short medical questionnaire — usually 5 minutes — covering your medical history, current medications, allergies, and lifestyle. Your answers are reviewed by a UK-registered prescriber who decides whether the requested treatment is safe and appropriate for you.

What happens after you submit

Your consultation is reviewed within a few hours during working days. There are three possible outcomes:

  • Approved — your medication is dispensed and dispatched. You'll get an email confirmation
  • On hold — the prescriber needs more information from you before they can make a decision. You'll get an email asking for clarification
  • Rejected — the treatment isn't suitable for you based on the information provided. You'll receive a full refund and a clinical explanation

Why you'll be asked the same questions again

You'll complete a questionnaire each time you place a prescription order. This is so your prescriber always has up-to-date information — your circumstances, medications, or weight may have changed.

Be honest and complete

Leaving things out — even unintentionally — can affect your safety and may result in your order being rejected. Our prescribers will only approve treatment if they're confident it's safe and right for you.
